Israel believes the planned sanctions against the Netzach Yehudah Battalion will be shelved

Washington is considering shelving the idea of sanctioning the whole Netzach Yehudah Battalion due to the fierce criticism from across the Israeli political spectrum.

Following the harsh criticism from Israel regarding America's intent to sanction the Netzach Yehudah Battalion for alleged human rights violations, Ynet reporter Itamar Eichner reports that Washington is considering shelving the idea.

Israeli sources told him that "the reasonable assessment is that we will succeed in convincing the Americans to not impose these sanctions." Another senior official said that this reassessment came in light of the criticism of imposing sanctions during wartime came from across the political spectrum and especially public opinion.
