Bedouin council head declares support for Otzma Yehudit, criticizes Ra'am

The head of the Bedouin local council of Shibli–Umm al-Ghanam announced his support for Otzma Yehudit following a meeting with party chairman Wasserlauf. The council leader criticized Ra'am, stating: "Anyone who is against the state is also against me." The declaration follows a meeting the previous day with Eisenkot and represents an unusual political alignment for a Bedouin municipal leader.
