Colombia's president-elect cancels Palestinian embassy plan
Colombia's president-elect Abelardo De La Espriella announced he will cancel plans to establish a Colombian embassy in Palestinian territories, reversing a policy of outgoing President Gustavo Petro. Days after the announcement, Petro received credentials from a Palestinian ambassador to Colombia with one week remaining in his term. De La Espriella also plans to close Colombian embassies in other countries.
