Duke University and University of North Dakota investigated over undisclosed China-linked gifts

The State Department and Department of Education are investigating Duke University and the University of North Dakota over foreign gifts and contracts linked to China that may not have been properly disclosed. At North Dakota, officials are examining the school of aerospace and sciences and its drone research, which has drawn significant federal support while also attracting investment from Chinese aviation companies the U.S. government says are closely associated with China's military.
