An Egyptian business jet operated by Smart Aviation landed at Ben Gurion Airport on the morning of September 26, 2023, arriving shortly before 10:00 a.m. and departing for Cairo at 11:00 a.m. The head of Egyptian intelligence was not on board; instead, two businessmen were on the flight. The passengers entered Israel through the Fattal Terminal in what was described as a regular, routine business flight. The aircraft received ground-handling services from QAS and departed for Egypt without passengers. The flight was not registered as an official or security-related flight, similar to other business flights in the days before the war.
