Extremists Spray Iranian Flags in Ultra-Orthodox Neighborhood,
Two men believed to be in their 30s sprayed Iranian flags on Hillel Street in the Ramah Bet neighborhood of Beit Shemesh early Monday morning, in what residents are calling a politically charged provocation. According to eyewitnesses, the pair appeared to be dressed in traditional garb associated with the fringe anti-Zionist sect Neturei Karta and left the scene heading toward Jerusalem shortly after the act, which occurred around 3 a.m. Local police have been briefed on the incident, and further information provided by witnesses has reportedly been turned over to authorities. The Shin Bet has not commented.
