A sensitive security incident unfolded recently in southern Israel, where large numbers of police officers have been dispatched following reports of two vehicles believed to be carrying armed individuals.
Security forces examined all possibilities as the search continues. Police established checkpoints on major roads throughout the region, while a police helicopter was been deployed to assist with extensive aerial and maritime searches for the suspect vehicles.
Police cleared concerns of a sabotage or criminal event in the Tel Arad area Thursday following operational checks by security forces.
"Following the publication regarding concerns of a security incident in the Tel Arad area, and after carrying out all the actions and checks required by police and security forces, concerns of a security and criminal incident have been removed," police said in a statement.
