German Chancellor Merz vows to combat antisemitism across political spectrum

German Chancellor Merz declared that Germany will oppose anyone attempting to make antisemitism socially acceptable again. "We stand against anyone in Germany who believes antisemitism must once again be made socially acceptable. In the swamp of the right, in the salons of the left, in culture or wherever else," Merz stated. He emphasized that antisemitism has no place in Germany and pledged to do everything to prevent its spread in the country.
