Greece Expected to Approve €3 Billion Israeli Air Defense Deal
Greece is expected to approve a €3 billion purchase of Israeli air defense systems to form the core of its new integrated defense network, "Achilles Shield," according to Greek media. The system will integrate Barak MX, David's Sling, and SPYDER air defense platforms with Greece's F-35 and F-16 Viper aircraft, Belharra frigates, and Patriot batteries under a single command network. The integrated system is designed to counter aircraft, ballistic missiles, UAVs, and cruise missiles, representing one of Greece's largest military modernization projects in recent decades.
