Hamas announces internal election results for regional leadership

Hamas has announced results of internal elections for regional leadership positions, according to unofficial Gazan sources affiliated with the group's military wing. Ali al-Amoudi was elected head of Hamas Gaza, Zaher Jabarin was elected head of Hamas West Bank, and Khaled Mashal was elected head of Hamas Abroad. Khalil al-Hayya was elected head of the political bureau.
