Hamas Operatives Found Dead in Rafah Tunnel Network

The IDF announced Friday that nine additional Hamas operatives have been located dead inside the terror tunnel network in eastern Rafah, as Israeli forces continue a wide-scale manhunt for militants still hiding underground. According to the IDF Spokesperson, Nahal Brigade combat teams, operating alongside engineering specialists from Yahalom, uncovered the bodies during continued searches of the subterranean infrastructure. The militants were likely killed as a result of the intensive, targeted campaign conducted in recent days—combining airstrikes, demolition operations, and specialized engineering measures aimed at neutralizing the tunnel system. The IDF says that more than 30 operatives attempting to escape the underground network have been eliminated so far. Forces under Southern Command remain deployed throughout the area in accordance with the ceasefire framework and are continuing operations “with determination to remove any immediate threat,” the statement said.
