Herzog Meets Druze Leader After Suwayda Massacre: “We Must Stand With Them”

President Isaac Herzog met today with Sheikh Muwafaq Tarif, spiritual leader of Israel’s Druze community, amid ongoing atrocities against Druze civilians in southern Syria. Joined by Druze local leaders and former minister Salah Tarif, Herzog stated: “The Druze community is an inseparable part of Israel. We must protect their loved ones and do everything to prevent escalation.” The meeting follows reports of over 1,000 killed in Syria’s Suwayda region.
