Hezbollah Halts University Grants for Fallen Fighters’ Children

Hezbollah has notified families of its fallen fighters that it is suspending university scholarships for their children—a move described as unprecedented and indicative of severe financial distress inside the organization. According to Saudi outlet Al-Arabiya, Hezbollah’s “Al-Shahid” Foundation, which manages aid for bereaved families, has halted payments to private universities. For decades, the fund provided tens of millions of dollars annually, including full tuition for students whose fathers died in Hezbollah ranks.
