IDF 401st Brigade completes eight-month mission in southern Lebanon
The IDF's 401st Brigade has completed an eight-month operation in southern Lebanon focused on removing threats along the border. During the mission, troops dismantled over 1,200 Hezbollah infrastructure sites, including underground routes, and located more than 600 weapons. The brigade eliminated over 60 Hezbollah terrorists during operations. Brigade Commander COL Yoav Schneider stated the mission aimed to "prevent and push back the threat to Israeli civilians," acknowledging the operation came at a heavy cost with fallen soldiers.
