IDF and ISA eliminate Hamas finance chief who transferred over 1 billion NIS for terror

The IDF and ISA struck in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, yesterday and eliminated Muhammad Abu Alwan, head of Hamas' Finance Department. Abu Alwan directed the transfer of more than 1 billion NIS throughout the war to fund Hamas' terrorist activities, making him a key figure in maintaining the organization's rule and survival. He had been active in the role for a decade and was involved in budgeting all of Hamas' branches. Recently, he operated to restore the terrorist organization's capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The IDF and ISA continue efforts to degrade Hamas' financial capabilities and prevent restoration of its infrastructure, including targeting money changers and facilitators involved in transferring hundreds of millions of dollars.
