IDF Chief of Staff visits Neve Tzuf attack scene, orders closure and pursuit of accomplices
IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir arrived at the scene of the shooting attack in the Neve Tzuf area, conducting a situational assessment with senior commanders including the Central Command Commander and Judea and Samaria Division Commander. Zamir ordered forces to impose a closure, continue pursuing those who assisted the terrorist, and seal and dismantle the terrorist's residence. "This was a severe terrorist attack, and I send our condolences to the family of the victim," Zamir stated. He confirmed the terrorist was apprehended by IDF troops and emphasized the mission continues to reach everyone who assisted. Ahead of Yom Kippur, Zamir said the IDF reinforced soldiers on frontlines and placed additional forces on standby, maintaining high alert across all sectors throughout the fast to thwart terrorism and protect Israeli citizens.
