IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Who Worked as Doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital

The IDF and ISA eliminated Abd al-Rahim Abd al-Hay Youssef Kardi, a Hamas deputy cell commander who simultaneously worked as a doctor at Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza. Kardi infiltrated Israel during the October 7th massacre and was involved in holding hostage Romi Gonen in Gaza City and at Al-Shifa hospital. He also held the body of Corporal Noa Marciano following her murder until the IDF recovered it. Throughout the war, Kardi continued advancing terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. He was eliminated in a precise aerial strike after steps were taken to mitigate civilian harm. The IDF cited this as another example of Hamas terrorists exploiting civilian institutions while concealing their terrorist affiliation.
