IDF Eliminates Hamas Platoon Commander Who Participated in October 7 Attack
The IDF struck in northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing Nihad Riyad Abd al-Rahim Arouq, a platoon commander in Hamas' Shati Battalion. Arouq infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre. Throughout the war, including in recent months, he trained terrorists and attempted to advance attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. He was eliminated in a precise aerial strike. IDF troops under Southern Command remain deployed in the area and will continue operations to remove threats.
