IDF Eliminates Hamas Terrorist Involved in October 7th Abduction of Three Israeli Soldiers

The IDF struck in southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, eliminating Hussam al-Shafie, a terrorist in Hamas' Eastern Khan Yunis Battalion. Al-Shafie infiltrated Kibbutz Nirim during the October 7th massacre and participated in the abduction of Colonel Asaf Hamami, Staff Sergeant Tomer Ahimas, and Sergeant Kiril Brodski, who were killed in the battle at the kibbutz. The three soldiers served in the IDF's Gaza Division. The elimination was conducted based on intelligence from the Gaza Division. Al-Shafie had continued to advance attacks and pose threats to IDF troops in recent months. IDF forces remain deployed in the area under the ceasefire agreement.
