IDF eliminates head of Basij Force Intelligence Division in Tehran strike

The Israeli Air Force struck and killed Esmail Ahmadi, Head of the Intelligence Division of Iran's Basij Force, in an operation earlier this week in Tehran. The strike also eliminated the Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani and several other senior commanders. Ahmadi played a central role in advancing terror attacks carried out by Basij Forces and was responsible for enforcing the regime's values on behalf of the IRGC. He led major suppression operations during recent internal protests in Iran, using severe violence, mass arrests, and force against civilian protesters. His elimination adds to dozens of senior Iranian Armed Forces commanders killed during the operation and represents another significant blow to the regime's security command structures.
