IDF fires warning shots after Lebanese forces breach security zone in southern Lebanon

IDF soldiers fired warning shots into the air after Lebanese Armed Forces personnel, accompanied by an engineering vehicle, crossed approximately 150 meters into the Security Zone near Zawtar al-Sharqiyah in southern Lebanon on Tuesday. The Lebanese forces breached barriers in an area outside the agreed pilot zone, contrary to understandings between the parties. The Lebanese personnel withdrew from the area following the warning shots, and no injuries were reported. The IDF called on Lebanese Armed Forces to operate within agreed areas, warning that deviations without prior coordination could endanger their forces.
