IDF Forces Reach the Heart of Khan Younis

According to Palestinian reports, IDF ground forces have reached the “Crystal Palace” hall in the heart of Khan Younis (marked on the map with a red pin). This area is located about 8 kilometers from the border with Israel—deep within the Gaza Strip—and just 2 kilometers from the Al-Mawasi area, where most of the Strip’s population is currently concentrated. The location reported by the Palestinians, where IDF forces have arrived, is only a short distance from the two main hospitals in Khan Younis: a few hundred meters from Al-Amal Hospital and one kilometer from Nasser Hospital. The IDF has not conducted ground operations in the heart of Khan Younis since April 2024—over a full year. The last time the IDF was there was when Division 98 raided Al-Amal and Nasser hospitals, arresting dozens of terrorists. Since then, these two hospitals have once again become significant terror headquarters for Hamas.
