IDF launches Safe Zone pilot program in southern Lebanon with U.S. and Lebanese forces
The IDF began a "Safe Zone" pilot program in southern Lebanon on Monday, in coordination with U.S. military (CENTCOM) and the Lebanese Armed Forces, following directives from Israel's political leadership. Teams from the three militaries are conducting coordination and planning for continued implementation of the ceasefire agreement. The IDF warned it will respond forcefully to any violation of the agreement.
