Israel's security establishment is on supreme alert ahead of Yom Kippur, against the backdrop of a complex security reality and fragile ceasefires on multiple fronts. The IDF announced it has completed staff work and operational preparations across all sectors—from the Gaza Strip to the northern borders, Syria, and Judea and Samaria.
The current deployment is defined as significantly more stringent and extensive than in previous years, designed to address any possible scenario of escalation or attempted surprise by terror elements. The preparation process began before the start of the High Holidays and included a series of in-depth discussions led by the head of the Operations Directorate, in full cooperation with the Shin Bet, Israel Police, and the Prison Service.
