IDF repositions forces in Lebanese pilot areas to test Lebanese Army sovereignty
The IDF will reposition its forces in one of the pilot areas to allow the Lebanese Army to carry out its mission while maintaining security of Israeli forces, the right to self-defense, and removal of threats. The move constitutes a test of sovereignty for the Lebanese Army in the three pilot villages, as it is the only official entity authorized to possess weapons in the area. The final process has not yet been decided.
