IDF strikes Iranian nuclear facilities and weapons sites with 50+ aircraft
Over 50 Israeli Air Force jets struck Iranian nuclear weapons program facilities and weapons production sites across three areas in Iran on Friday, the IDF announced. Targets included the heavy water plant in Arak used for plutonium production for nuclear weapons, and a facility in Yazd producing explosive materials for uranium enrichment. The operation involved three waves of strikes lasting several hours. Additional targets included military industry facilities producing various weapons, an Iranian Defense Ministry site developing advanced explosives used to supply Hamas and Hezbollah, and a site producing components for ballistic and anti-aircraft missiles. The IDF stated the strikes degraded Iran's ballistic missile and nuclear weapons production capabilities.
