The Israel Defense Forces announced Friday that Route 10, which runs near the western border in the Paran region of southern Israel, will return to its standard opening schedule starting this weekend. During the summer vacation period, the route had been open on Thursdays as well to accommodate increased tourist traffic, but that extended access is now ending.
Under the updated guidelines, the route will be accessible to hikers only on Fridays and Saturdays, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Access is limited to the section between Ezuz and Mount Harif. The military emphasized that entry requires presenting identification and registering at the entrance checkpoint, though no advance coordination is necessary.
