Initial Report: Shooting Incident Near the Tunnel Crossing

During an operation by Border Police forces in the Jerusalem area to prevent illegal infiltrations along Route 60 near the tunnel crossing, officers moved to detain several unauthorized individuals present at the scene. During the operation, an off-duty IDF soldier traveling on a nearby public bus observed the situation and apparently believed it was a security-related incident. The soldier exited the bus and fired at the unauthorized individuals, resulting in one being injured on site. No injuries were reported among our forces.
