Iran confirms 15 senior Basij officials killed since operation began

Official Iranian media confirm that 15 senior officials in the Iranian Basij forces have been killed since the beginning of the operation, including the Basij commander, his deputy, and the head of the Basij intelligence division. Iranian opposition sources report that Atim Esmaeili, deputy commander of the Iranian Basij forces, was eliminated in an Israeli strike in Tehran on March 17, along with other senior officials.
