Iranian Parliament Speaker Threatens Oil Blockade in Response to Trump
Mohammad Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament and head of Iran's negotiation delegation, responded to President Trump's retaliation threats with counter-threats. "The equation in this war is clear: either everyone – or no one," Ghalibaf stated, warning that if Iran cannot sell oil, no one in the region will. He threatened that if Iranian security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will be safe, and declared that security in the strait will only be achieved without American forces present. Ghalibaf emphasized that conditions in the strait will not return to pre-war status.
