Israel and Morocco to upgrade diplomatic missions to embassies
Israel and Morocco have agreed to upgrade their diplomatic missions to full embassies and appoint ambassadors, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced following a meeting in New York with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and the US Ambassador to the UN. The agreement includes expanding direct flights with Moroccan airlines, signing two economic agreements by the end of 2026, and conducting high-level visits. Sa'ar stated: "The relations between Israel and Morocco are important for the benefit of both peoples. We thank our American friends for their contribution to strengthening them."
