Israel Announces Daily Tactical Pause in Gaza for Humanitarian Aid
IDF Spokesperson: In accordance with directives from the political echelon and as part of the ongoing effort by the IDF, through COGAT, to expand the scope of humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip, a local tactical pause in military activity will begin today (Sunday) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for humanitarian purposes. The pause will take place daily until further notice in areas where the IDF is not operating — Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City. This decision was coordinated with the UN and international organizations following discussions on the matter. In addition, secure corridors have been designated from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily to allow for the safe movement of UN and aid organization convoys, delivering and distributing food and medicine to the population throughout the Gaza Strip. The IDF will continue to support humanitarian efforts on the ground alongside ongoing maneuvers and offensive operations against terrorist organizations in Gaza, in order to protect Israeli civilians. The IDF remains prepared to expand operations as needed.
