Israeli Officials Frustrated by Lack of Progress in Trump’s Gaza Migration Plan
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed disappointment over the stalled implementation of former President Donald Trump’s proposed Gaza migration initiative. Speaking to members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee yesterday, Netanyahu said Trump remains committed to the vision and that the two spoke about it just days ago. However, he acknowledged that significant obstacles remain. “There are many people in Gaza who want to leave,” Netanyahu said, “but the challenge lies with the receiving countries.” He noted that these countries have their own interests and that the U.S. has not made enough diplomatic progress with them.
