Jerusalem Faction Sends Protesters to Petah Tikva Police Station
Members of the radical ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem Faction dispatched protesters to the Petah Tikva police station Tuesday afternoon, following claims that a Haredi man who arrived to request a certificate of good conduct was identified as a military draft dodger. According to reports, military police were summoned to the station after the man’s status was flagged. Protesters gathered in an attempt to block or delay the transfer of the alleged draft evader into military custody. The incident sparked immediate outrage from the faction, known for its staunch opposition to conscription of yeshiva students.
