Judge Reveals State Attorney Urged Police Action Against Ben-Ari Before Elections
District Court Judge Ron Solkin in Lod reveals that about two months before the 21st Knesset elections, the State Attorney's Office urged police to collect materials against Michael Ben-Ari, leading to his disqualification from running. The judge noted the explicit reason for urgency was the election campaign. Solkin also found that during a criminal investigation opened against Ben-Ari a year and a half later, the State Attorney's Office dictated police questions and effectively conducted the investigation itself, despite not being an investigative body.
