KKL chairman addresses Jewish shepherds controversy near Majd al-Krum
KKL Chairman Eyal Ostrovsky responded to controversy over Jewish shepherds near Majd al-Krum, announcing that grazing will continue as it is essential for fire prevention. He acknowledged mistakes in implementation, stating the shepherds' encampment has been dismantled temporarily until after Yom Kippur due to being largely established on non-KKL lands with more tents and people than permitted. After Yom Kippur, grazing will resume with a relocated encampment on KKL lands, moved away from residential areas, with reduced personnel from five to a maximum of three people and minimal infrastructure.
