Measles Case on Tel Aviv- Krakow Wizz Air Flights

Israel’s Health Ministry has issued an urgent public health warning after confirming that a measles-infected passenger traveled on Wizz Air flight W6-2386 from Tel Aviv to Krakow on Sunday, October 19, and returned on flight W6-2385 from Krakow to Ben-Gurion Airport on Tuesday, October 21. All passengers who were aboard either flight are being urged to verify that they are fully vaccinated against measles. Travelers can review and update their immunization records through the government’s Digital Vaccination Record (MyGov) portal. The ministry specifically advises pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals, and infants under 12 months who were on those flights to contact their local district health office immediately to assess the need for post-exposure prophylaxis. Officials emphasized that measles is highly contagious and can lead to serious complications, including pneumonia and encephalitis.
