Mediators deliver Israel’s deal objections to Hamas

According to a report on the Qatari news channel Al-Araby, international mediators have presented Hamas with Israel’s formal objections to elements of the group’s latest response in the ongoing ceasefire negotiations. Israel opposed several key clauses, particularly regarding the redeployment and withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip. Jerusalem also firmly rejected the principle of exchanging the remains of Israeli hostages for the release of Palestinian prisoners—one of Hamas’s central demands.
