Mike Huckabee Blames UN, NYT for Undermining Hostage Deal

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has publicly accused the United Nations and The New York Times of sabotaging a potential hostage deal with Hamas. In a series of tweets, Huckabee shared footage showing aid trucks being looted in Gaza and argued that recent changes in food distribution are inadvertently benefiting the terror group. “The chaos around aid convoys and the way distribution is being handled is strengthening Hamas,” Huckabee wrote. He claimed that misleading narratives promoted by the UN and media outlets like The New York Times have complicated efforts to secure the release of Israeli hostages. The ambassador’s remarks come amid growing frustration in Washington over the stalled negotiations and increased scrutiny of international aid operations in Gaza.
