Ministerial committee authorizes Shin Bet to determine security for party leaders without protection

The Ministerial Committee for Shin Bet Affairs decided today, without the prime minister present, to authorize the Shin Bet to independently determine security arrangements for party leaders who are private citizens and currently lack protection, until the 26th Knesset is sworn in. This means Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar will decide whether and how to provide security for figures such as Gadi Eisenkot, Yoav Gallant, and Ofer Winter. Bennett, Lapid, and Lieberman already receive security protection due to their previous positions.
