Gaza Aid Controversy

Feiglin: Israel Supplies Hamas During War

Former Knesset member claims humanitarian aid to Gaza strengthens Hamas and calls for immediate halt to all deliveries

Moshe Feiglin

Former Knesset member Moshe Feiglin launched a sharp attack Tuesday on Israel's policy of allowing humanitarian supplies into the Gaza Strip during the ongoing war. According to Feiglin, the Israeli government has effectively become the entity providing Hamas with the conditions to recover and rearm:

"The Israeli government has become Hamas's logistics and supply division ... For three years I have shouted from every platform that bringing supplies to the enemy during wartime is moral treason, systemic madness, and a security folly unparalleled in human history."

He claimed that hundreds of trucks cross the border daily, and that alongside food and equipment, they also transport materials and combat resources. According to Feiglin, these enable Hamas "to recover, get back on its feet, and calmly prepare for the next massacre of Israeli civilians."

He referenced an official UNICEF report which, he claimed, contradicts assertions of mass starvation in Gaza. "There is no hunger, not a trace of mass malnutrition, and the wasting rate in Gaza stands at only 0.5%, the lowest in the entire region," he wrote. He further claimed that the main problem developing in the Strip as a result of the aid deliveries is obesity.

He added that after the data-containing documents were published, they were deleted from the internet. However, he directed his main criticism at Israeli leadership rather than at the United Nations:

"Instead of strangling the enemy, defeating it utterly, and eliminating its threat forever, the Israeli government has become Hamas's logistics and supply division. The time has come to shed the diaspora mentality, immediately stop every shred of supply to the Strip, and bring about absolute victory."
