Moshe Ya’alon slams UNRWA’s accusations as false, urges support for American-led humanitarian alternative

Former IDF Chief of Staff and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon issued a sharp rebuke of UNRWA’s claim that Israel is “starving civilians in Gaza,” calling the assertion “manufactured disinformation.” Ya’alon emphasized that “Israel goes above and beyond” to safeguard civilians in Gaza despite Hamas embedding its fighters in civilian areas. He urged the international community to back the U.S.-sponsored Global Humanitarian Framework (GHF) and reject what he termed the “genocide libel” propagated by Hamas sympathizers.
