Against the backdrop of reports and speculation about the possibility of forming a "broad" government, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently spoke with Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben-Gvir and with Tally Gotliv, who was placed second on his party's list, and promised them that no other party would be brought into the coalition in their place, journalist Moran Azoulay reported on ynet.
Despite the prime minister's attempts to reassure the faction, some in the political establishment are casting doubt on the promises. Gotliv addressed the developments and backed the concerns within Otzma Yehudit: "Ben-Gvir is right, the prime minister has always preferred to lean on left and center parties."
