Israeli Election Survey

Netanyahu Ties Eisenkot in New Poll

Latest survey shows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu drawing even with New Right party leader Gadi Eisenkot at 23 seats each, while Naftali Bennett's party rises to 14 mandates

A new election poll published Sunday evening on Kan News reveals a significant shift in Israel's political landscape, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party drawing even with former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot's New Right party. Both parties are projected to win 23 Knesset seats, marking the end of a period in which Eisenkot held a narrow one- or two-seat advantage over the incumbent prime minister.

The survey shows former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's party strengthening its position, climbing to 14 mandates. The Democrats, Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power), and Yisrael Beiteinu each receive 10 seats in the poll. United Torah Judaism is projected to win 8 seats, Shas 7 seats, Hadash-Ta'al 6 seats, Ra'am 5 seats, and Religious Zionism 4 seats.

According to the poll's bloc calculations, the opposition camp would hold 5 seats, the right-wing bloc 52 seats, and the Arab parties combined would secure 11 mandates.

The results suggest that Eisenkot may be losing momentum despite recent efforts to position himself as a viable alternative to Netanyahu. The prime minister has reportedly focused his campaign efforts on countering Eisenkot's electoral challenge, a strategy that appears to be yielding results in narrowing the gap between their parties.
