Over 20 Countries Call for Immediate Gaza Ceasefire

More than 20 nations—including the UK, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Belgium, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Poland, and Spain—have issued a joint statement demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The countries condemned Israel’s current method of delivering humanitarian aid to the strip, calling it “dangerous, destabilizing, and a denial of human dignity for Gaza’s residents.” They warned they are prepared to take further steps to push for an immediate end to the fighting.
