Palestinian Authority's Abbas addresses UN, warns against "another Nakba" and demands sanctions reversal

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas delivered a recorded speech to the UN General Assembly addressing multiple issues. He called on the US to reverse sanctions that prevented physical participation at the UN, warning this violates its obligations as host country. Abbas cautioned the international community against allowing "another Nakba" and accused Israel of attacks on UN facilities in Jerusalem and the West Bank that harm UNRWA operations. He warned that Israeli settlement policies, including the E1 plan to separate northern and southern West Bank, threaten the two-state solution and Palestinian existence. Abbas demanded Israel release over $6 billion in Palestinian funds it is holding and called for full UN membership for Palestine.
