Political party with alleged Kach ties approved after Shin Bet reverses position
The Political Parties Registrar approved registration of a party allegedly tied to the Kach movement after the Shin Bet reversed its position. Attorney Yitzhak Bam criticized the security service, stating "The Shin Bet's role is to prevent terrorism, not to engage in disqualifying political parties." He added it was "good that the Shin Bet is correcting the damage caused by Ronen Bar and returning to its original mission."
