President Isaac Herzog: "I welcome Steve Witkoff's visit"

He added, "Steve Witkoff is arriving here today. This is another effort, a vital and critical effort that must not be missed, and to which we must devote all our capabilities in order to bring about a hostage deal. I was appalled to hear in recent days that there are those who are trying to normalize the issue of the hostages through terminology, suddenly they are being compared to prisoners of war. They are not POWs, they are hostages. Hostages who all must return home, as quickly as possible, every last one of them, without euphemisms or sugarcoating."
