Rubio Says Iran Will Pay Heavy Price, Claims Tehran Seeks Deal
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Iran is "suffering greatly" and will face further consequences until it agrees to a deal. Rubio claims Iranian officials "call us every day and beg for a deal" but are "not ready" yet. He contrasts Trump's policy of "a head for an eye" with Iran's "eye for an eye" approach, and criticizes Tehran for spending money on proxies, missiles, and UAVs instead of developing its economy. Rubio adds that Iran "could have been the richest country in the Middle East" if it chose differently.
