Satellite images show Iran accelerating reconstruction at Taleqan 2 nuclear facility
The Institute for Science and International Security reports that Iran is rapidly working to restore the Taleqan 2 facility in the Parchin military complex, based on satellite photographs. Images from September 13 show a cover installed over the underground section damaged in attacks, apparently to conceal reconstruction work from satellites and aerial reconnaissance. Extensive activity of engineering equipment, trucks, and concrete mixers was observed at the site. Taleqan 2 was attacked in November 2024 and March 2026. The institute states that research and development related to nuclear weapons previously occurred at the site, describing the continued restoration as "extremely concerning."
